Lowered issue

Hey everyone. I have a 1990 suburban. It has a belltech flip kit in the rear and belltech drop spindles with viking adjustable shocks in the front. The other day I noticed the driver side was lower than the right. I have no idea where to start looking. Was goin to replace the coil springs with new from lmc. Just wasn't sure if goin with std coil or the HD coil. The tires rub went I hit humps in the road or pulling into my street. Driver side rubs alot more than the passenger side.

Put a 1/2 inch coil insulator under the low sides spring.

Totally normal, every vehicle I've ever owned measures slightly different from side to side. The only one's I've ever gotten dead nuts level were torsion bar trucks and they still didn't measure dead nuts all the time depending on how much fuel was in them.

To fix your issue, you can either add the coil spacer mentioned above or you can trim the pass spring a tad to bring it down. I wouldn't bother with new springs, that won't fix it. It's just the nature of these old trucks. If you decide to trim the pass side (if you like the look and can deal with scrubbing), just remember that 1 coil = 2" of drop at the wheel. So you won't need much at all. Also, before you do anything, make sure both springs are sitting in their pockets correctly, there's a little divot where the pigtail of the spring is supposed to sit.

I had the same problem and did exactly what @Ricko1966 suggests.
They do make different ticknesses so you can get it just how you need it to be.

Yes. Or if you need say 1/4" on one side and 1/2" on the other to get it right where you want you can do that.
