I am in search of a crank pulley for my 86 K10 and not having much luck. It is the single V for the power steering and then serpentine for water pump and alternator. Looks like GM has discontinued making these and I cant even locate a used one. I realize I can swap the whole pulley setup, but trying to do without that for now. Any ideas where to look?

Not Factory A/C. Had a dealer installed system when new. I always believed that was ran off the front groove of the water pump pulley?

I have seen several crank pulleys with 2 v's and a serpentine.....would that work? Wasn't sure on the spacing of the grooves for alignment

My car’s A/C belt goes around the inner water pump pulley groove, the middle crankshaft pulley groove, the outer PS pulley groove, and back to the compressor. It’s my biggest belt, I think. That’s the setup that I’m familiar with three crankshaft pulley grooves. If you have an R4 style compressor, I don’t see how it wouldn’t work with a three grooved pulley. If you have an A6 compressor, I’m not so sure.

ok that make sense. Maybe the 3 groove will work then. What is the outer pump pulley groove to? Smog pump?

And anything at all on the inner most crank groove?

Yep, stupid smog pump. And the inner crank groove is exclusively for the PS pump. It goes to the the inner groove on the pump. Is your compressor an R4?

(i posted in the other web forum, but i'll post here as well for everyone's benefit )

Wow..........i just went out and checked. And my crank pulley also only has one v-belt.

This one is cheaper and appears to be a non-chrome version of the other one:

These March pulleys should work because the inner most grove(one closest to the face of the balancer) is much closer than the middle one----which would be our normal single grove? And the middle grove of those Marches appears to be in the same position as our normal single grove.

It's summit, so if it doesn't work, you can always return it.............

It appears that the crank pulley off ANY 85-87, monte carlo, impala, truck should work?
