I bought my 1979 C 10 in 1982 and have made some upgrades but the drive train is original stock 250 six with 3 speed on the column. For many years it was my primary driver but these days only gets driven on occasion. I've never had to do any work to drivetrain and since it was a basic C 10 with the main option being the heavy half suspension I have upgraded the creature comfort by adding power steering, brakes, factory gauges, and Vintage Air.

Did you keep the manual steering box? What kind of shape is it in? Wanna get rid of it?
