Best suggestion for adding weight to the rear of my truck without put steel plate in the bed. It has a tendency to lose traction very easily. I was thinking of welding some steel plate to the frame.

One option is to install a posi trac in place of your open rear diff. Will put a stop those embarrassing one wheel burnouts.

Learn how to modulate the skinny pedal!

In what situations are you losing traction?

Yeah, I feel your pain. My 2wd is gutless in the rain. I have to apply gas very softly to prevent the rear wheels from spinning like crazy. IT don't take much pedal to set them off, either.
