My 1988 calls for an AC Delco CR43TS with a 0.35 gap or an AC Delco professional 1 rapid-fire with a 0.45 gap? Side by side they look identical other than the porcelain portion it smooth? The engine runs better and considering that 29 Years ago the AC Delco Professional-1 rapid-fire were;t available back then. Thoughts?

If the porcelain has just a slight touch of 'dusty tan' color to it, I'd say you're good to go.

If they're shiny tan they're a touch too hot. I don't think with 43's that's a problem.

You didn't state TBI, carb; etc. but as before, I don't see an issue.

Yeah, I don't do a lot of expressways So I'll a plug and see if they're a nice tan color.

I agree 100 %. What, what is it that you have to have to talk about while you're doing 45 mph in a 70mph expressway. Everyone behind you and we all are trying to get around the idiot in 45 mph? GC, can't you either take the next exit or hurry up till you get to where the hole in you work at. I've got a Peterbilt so close I see the bugs stuck to the radiator. And god forbid the road crews are working. It came to me as I was going down rt 420 around it. 95 and the volume of traffic is so heavy, I thought to myself and I realized we might be beyond the point of transit/ New construction of highways. And of course, that is ridiculous, isn't it! I saw a program on the TV that for every minute of being stuck in traffic, you burn 1.2 ounces of gasoline.

And it's not just the kids. From soccer moms to snooty business types that think they're too important to obey the law.
Georgia now has a 'Hands Free' Law. If you're seen/caught on the phone for any reason while your vehicle is in motion, $500 Fine, no escape, no excuse, 3 times, lose license. They're still catching a lot but the numbers are going down.
One hint, if someone runs into you and you suspect they were on the phone, GET A WARRANT to pull their phone record before you go to court. Don't ask me how I know this.

Its scary being in traffic and looking over to the car next to you and seeing them buried in their phone. Phones, eating, makeup I've seen all of this, sometimes at high speed. I thank God I havent been involved in anything because of these people. Smart phones give you access to unlimited information at your finger tips, its addicting. I'm on my phone a lot but not while actively doing something (including dinner!).

Amazing how like minds find each other. They say you can't judge a book by it's cover but I can certainly give a fairly accurate description of the guy driving a square.
I still find more sanity in some of our most silly threads than life 'out there'.

Well I too have a flip phone, and I'm 67, but I take driver improvement courses. I just finished a senors are a hard-headed bunch. I still use the skills I got from a Defensive drive course I took 10 years ago. I suppose that is why I'm so critical of drivers around me. My last job had me on a 100-mile trip up and back NJ highway, and I've seen so crazy crap. Like two guys in a chevy pickup truck half asleep and they drifted off the roadway and onto the shoulder. But there was a parked semi sitting there. I stopped and called the NJ state police and EMT's, and I don't mean to be funny or unfeeling, but those two guys won't ever get a headache again.
