Sometime around 10am I guess. It wasn't like this first thing in the morning, but when I came back around lunchtime it was all ***** and stuff

Back to the truck . . . what's the prognosis?
I'm searching the internet for the torque spring that I must be missing. I have to do a front squat to close the damn thing.

I might have a used one, will have to check my K5 parts tailgate. If a Suburban spring is the same, I may have one of those also, I think I saved it when I parted out a burb.

Burb and Blazer tailgates are the same. Blazer just had the 'ears' on the upper corners cut off and an extra bracket was welded inside for the window guide on top.

Actually they are completely different. They do share some hardware, but for the most part are not the same at all. Different size, shape, stampings, etc.

The torsion spring setup is completely different too. The K5 tailgate has a short spring on each side and interact with brackets bolted to the frame rails. The Burb tailgate has a single, long spring that interacts with the truck body.

What is that vehicle called that Dodge made that's like a Blazer with the same tailgate with the window in it you have to crank or power down to drop the tailgate? Now don't be brand stuck up. I like Dodges to. The last one I had was a '69 Charger, the most beautiful car ever made, 383, 727 4.10 posi. I loved that car then just as much as the Square I have now. I have pics of it on this site.
