Great to find this forum!

Have had a 1978 GMC K35 for a few years now. 32,000 actual miles. I think it was originally a 2 door dually chassis truck that was sold into fire service in the Sierra Nevada, as it was painted yellow originally and has a service number inside the engine bay, along with some remnants of communication equipment in the cab. I'm thinking maybe an emergency water supply truck. Mountains, because it has a roll cage inside the cab. 400ci engine and 400thm, Chevy 14 bolt rear and Dana 60front, NP203 AWD not converted. Everything appears original. Now it has a flat bed on the chassis, and 16" Alcoa wheels.

Am getting into the brakes at this time. Replacing lines, master, calipers, prop valve. JB8 brake system with hydroboost. Looks like a bit of a struggle on getting the passenger side lines replaced, that area of the chassis is a blind spot. Lots of fun ahead!
