hey guys, first post on the forum and hoping some one can help me out. I'm in the middle of swapping a SM465 and NP205 into my 86 K10. The donor truck is an 80, and I was considering swapping the steering column, floor dimmer switch and wiper switch also. will the 80 cab harness bolt up and be compatible with the 86 engine harness? both trucks have carbeurated 350’s and have no power options in the cab. the 86 dosent even have AC. Any of you experienced folks have any thoughts on the idea?

The only difference that comes to mind would be the cowl area, I think everything else will bolt up but am not positive on that.

There's not too many wires there (by today's standards), just compare the two harnesses. Look for the same amount of wires and same wire colors. If the wires or dirty or painted, just follow them to see where they go.

I'm not sure the answer to your question... but I noticed you are about 30 minutes from me. I'm in Matthews.
