Hey Guys,
The CV joint on my front drive shaft started making noise on my 1977 K-20. Pulled it apart and need to get the ball/spring kit and new flange, as you can see in the pic, the seal edge is damaged. I think I found the right parts I need on eBay but I'd just like to double check here to make sure this looks like the right stuff before I pull the trigger. Both listings show 1977 Chevrolet K-20 on their "Compatibility" list but I've run into errors there before.
I've posted two links to the parts I'm looking at. The flange looks the same, the spring/ball kit has an extra spring. Mine only seems to have one spring.
Your thoughts?

As usual, your help and input is much appreciated!
Greg

Rock Auto also has a kit. I don't know if it's the correct one. I would think they might be a better option. They also have the whole shaft. Thats the way I'm going to go.

This was the design of the CV joint on my'75 K25, and it looks different than your truck's joint. I bought the new ball and socket assembly (Rockauto, I think), along with all new sealed universal joints for the driveshaft. I also pumped a liberal amount of grease into the sliding section, since it was nearly frozen.

When I first got my truck, in about 2002, the front driveshaft and universal joints were in really bad condition, so I just bought a complete new front driveshaft. I think it is still available for about $250.
