On my 80 K20 I finally got the jack freed up. It comes up the 1 section About 4". My question is should it continue up with the 2nd section? It's been over 40 years since I used it and can't remember. I don't want to force it. Thanks!

My 79 K5 jack has more sections and extends more. It works but it's really scary to lift the truck with that thing. The jack design could have changed over the years when locking at the jack decals and also be different for C and K trucks. The 79 jack looks like this:

Thanks. Mine looks real similar and I thought it should come up with the 2nd section. I'll keep soaking it with PB blaster and put a little more force on it.
