Ive been fighting with the wonderful tilt wheel in my Blazer for a while now, and Ive had enough...Ive bought a non tilt wheel from a salvage yard. But what I am unsure of is if the Blazer has intermittent wipers. The one thing I do know is that the wipers work but the intermittents do not. I know the dash in the truck is from a 91 Suburaban, and I assume the column is too because the steering wheel is not from an 86, its newer, should the wiper motor look differently that one with intermittent wipers? Could someone post some picts? The replacement column does not have intermittents either. Thanks for the help!

The intermittent wipers require a switch that has the intermittent position and then there is an electronic module that controls the power to the motor. The module is a little black box with silver heat fins on one side. The module plugs in between the wires in the column and the wires under the dash. It is possible to plug the two wires together without the module and the wipers will work, just not on intermittent.

The motor is the same with and without.

You can buy a new wiper switch with intermittent and install it if you want. I found two modules in the junkyard to make mine work.
