I want to see some lowered 3/4 tons

I never claimed to dislike lowered trucks, I even specifically said I can see the allure of a lowered truck to do the whole muscle truck thing. I just don't see the point in lowering a 3/4 ton truck, defeats the entire purpose.

My point posting in this thread was to make that exact statement.

Creating this thread looking for ideas was specifically asking for opinions. You keep on rolling if you have a problem with my personal opinion, I sure as hell didn't ask you for input. Nor was I putting anyone down. I was just stating a (very common) opinion, one that could potentially save the OP some money (and a little bit of ridicule IRL. On this forum we all love squares, but out there in the wild people are gonna say "a lowered 3/4 ton, WTF is the point of that?")

Your reading comprehension must be low if you didn't catch what he was looking for with the title. This isn't the first time you have come out and told guys how silly their trucks look because you don't like them. Let the guy get the information he wants and leave your ******** elsewhere.

that's all subjective to one's own personal taste.
I understand the allure of lowered vehicles for their sporty or "hot rod" look, but they hardly look nearly as heavy-duty. Perfect for a 2wd 1/2 ton shortbed with a big engine to do the whole muscle truck thing, but a lowered truck trying to do honest hard work towing a 10k lb trailer just plain looks silly AF.

You add the travel back with a notch. It's not that complicated.

Also your opinion, lowered trucks look just as cool doing work as when they aren't an can still do everything a stock truck can. You don't like it that's cool but it doesn't make it any less of a truck.

I don’t see a problem lowering a 3/4 ton. They could potentially work harder. Lower center of gravity has more stability when towing or loaded. Take for instance some wreckers or 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 ton trucks. Not much wheel travel there.

This is what airbags are for. I began putting airbags on everything. You can have compliant suspension with higher load capacity than any 20/30 series square ever had.

I've had both, the lifted truck was a bigger pia to do anything with truck wise....

Sorry to get off topic, this is a huge pet peeve of mine. I've probably done more "truck" like work with my 1/2 suburban than 70% of 3/4 truck owners ever do.....

That totally makes sense, but this is my first truck. It's what I got and I wanna make it as cool as I can. I haul stuff occasionally but never really anything big. I'm not too worried about losing a lot of functionality.

Do what makes you happy. If I had a 2wd there’d be nothing holding me back from lowering it a bit.

I know it looks like a half ton, but the 8 lugs make things a bit more difficult. I want to lower it somehow and give it a hot rod look. Right now its bone stock with 16.5s.

Just me but I've had both too. An everyday trailer hauling, work truck won't be raised or lowered. Couldn't drive a lowered truck a lot of places down here. And raised trucks are a pain in the ads to load.

I just lowered my half ton but it has 16” wheels and 3/4 ton hubcaps so it looks like a 3/4.
