Had a bunch of trucks in my day, some of em pretty cool. My favorite was a 76,77,78,79,80,81 Chevy C/K-10/20 shortbed. The title called it a 77 K10.
Spent way too long driving the wheels off of a Jeep Grand Cherokee then got a 99 K1500 Suburban so I could tow stuff.
Working on the 99 sucks. Too much electronic stuff. And it can't haul stuff near as good as a truck.
Finally came back to my senses and bought a beat up 80 K20 a couple weeks ago. Heavy duty everything. 350/4spd/205.
A little wrenching got er running good. Started clean-up. Spent too much on a set of 33" tires and wheels (hope they fit with no lift).
Got all kinds of fun planned.

How long was it sitting? What did you have to do to get it running?

Well, the tags on it say '02.
The guy I bought it from said it had only been moved around on the property since then.
It ran when I bought it. Barely. Had to push it on the trailer with a tractor. It backed off under its own power.
Had 1900 vacuum leaks, I de-smogged it, corked up the exhaust manifold air tube holes, new plugs, fresh gas, a little carb cleaner, and got rid of some mystery wiring and she runs good.
Of course, now that it's running it needs bigger rubber. Mounted 2 front tires today after work (with old school tire irons), rears next. Looks way cooler already.
Got a new clutch. Probably next.
Needs brakes. Master cyl is junk. Pads worn out. Ain't looked at the rears yet. Probably needs all new lines too.

33s do look nice under there, but looks like it might rub unless you trim the fenders a bit or get a 2" lift.
