Welcome to the club! You will find that these are seriously good trucks, PROVIDING that they have been rust-proofed. The fact that they rust easily is their only weak point. Take care of that and you have a truck that will last you a life time.Hello there everyone. Just testing the waters here. I'm new to squarebodys and forums but not new to trucks. I have been drooling over squarebody Chevys since I was a teenager but never could quite get my hands on a Squarebody either for financial or practicality reasons. Finally, many years later, the stars have aligned and I snagged myself an '86 K20. At least according to the VIN. It has K10 axels so it is definitely a frankentruck but it's got a solid frame, the box and cab are in pretty good shape and a 386 stroker dropped into it. She needs some loving before she hits the road but I'm excited to get her there.
I will definitely be rust-proofing. I'm a woolwax guy. I buy fluid-film nas by the 5 gal bucket. I hit all my vehicles with it once a year.Welcome to the club!
