I thought once you joined the 50 posts was only on the for sale. First I have EVER heard of other parts of the forum being off limits until 50. @bucket @Old77 @HotRodPC ??? Possibly a recent change based on other feedback in the thread?

Must be a recent change. To the OP @t44e6 please bear with us as we are all still getting used to the new version of the forum. Many active members here have been posting since long before any of the newer policies were put into place. Personally, I point blame at all the spammers that brought on such changes.

We're all friends here with a common obsession of the best trucks.. square body trucks. The information here is priceless and people share it freely because they want to see these trucks on the road, at car shows, and off the road. There is a lot of wisdom here and also some good humor. As far as poking fun and sarcastic memes..this site is extremely nice compared to others. If you can't make fun of your friends who can you make fun of?! Lol

I was also unaware of the post requirement for sub forum access. I thought for sure the classifieds had a minimum, but I also thought I could buy my way in by jumping to supporting member out of the gate, lol! Looks like I need to get more engaged here to get to the real party.:headbang:
BTW, this is probably the best square forum followed by the 67-72 forum(Sub forum 73-87), but that's just one mans opinion.

There's not a single member on this forum that I couldn't sit down and have a beer with.

I'll drink to that, even the ones that don't agree with us on all topics still seem like decent people on other topics. Besides, we all like squarebodies? That stands for something

I understand that the creators and admins of this site probably don't want an open discussion forum, because they require a lot of moderation. If you want to argue about politics or vent about your in-laws there are plenty of places to do that. But it would be nice to have a forum where people could ask questions about using the site or make suggestions. For example, when I hit 50 posts I plan on using the Classified section to sell some parts I don't need. But is that forum limited to only squarebody related items? And the addition of forums for discussion of non squarebody related topics like music, computers, stereo gear, hobbies etc build a stronger online community I think. I think a general classified section would be a good idea. What do you think?
All great ideas. We've got all that here already and have had for many many years. We're more than a squarebody forum. If you go to the members area you'll see the Lounge. There's the Conversation thread and most any topic you can think of in the Lounge. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/forums/lounge.21/ Lounge here.

There's The Great Outdoors https://www.gmsquarebody.com/forums/the-great-outdoors.40/ Just about anything you can think of Camping, Fishing, Hunting, Shooting, playing sports and whatever else outdoor activities you want to add.

There's the DIY Electronic, Appliance and Household Repair category. Add anything else non truck related that you might be working on in there. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/forums/diy-electronics-appliances-household-repairs.54/ Learn or teach someone else how to fix or work on something including hobbies. Maybe you're into radio controlled aircraft. It can go here or in the Great Outdoors.

Then there the Site Comment and Feedback https://www.gmsquarebody.com/forums/site-comments-feedback.23/ Forum here to make suggestionss, complain, moan or groan and b1tch.

So what else did we miss???

And don't forget in the photo gallery section, there's the Members Photo area where you can post about any pics you want. Nope, Penor Pics not allowed, noone cares to see you Johnson. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/forums/member-photos.17/ There's some good family oriented threads as well as Pet threads in there.

Also members video thread. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/forums/member-videos.18/ If you have You Tube or Tik Toks, you can post them in there. Obviously No Porn.

Look around a bit, there's even threads you can post up about your job. I don't think we missed anything, but let us know if we did. I'll show you where you can create it.

I guess to the original post, why use a very limited viewership platform to try to peddle your general “stuff”. Geographically speaking it’s almost a no go. Quantitatively, it’s really limiting.
Sure if it’s related to the general topics here, it may be a good or at least halfway decent way to sell, but I don’t understand selling random stuff. If I wanted to see what random junk was for sale in New EnglAnd I’d just search FB or CL there.
