Howdy!
I am the proud owner of a 1983 Chevy c10 Silverado with 89k miles! Short wheel base, two wheel drive, and never modded, wrecked, or abused! It was my grandfather's truck he purchased new, and I was lucky enough to learn to drive in it! It is literally all original and needs a little TLC - no mechanical issues, but has not be driven regularly since ~2018.
I am really into cars.. - I love Audi's, but have owned Mazdas, Fords, other Chevys, Nissans, Acuras and enjoy them all for what they are/do. I typically like track days and auto cross events, but look forward to working on restoring 'Pop's truck' back to its original glory. It's by far the most attention getting of my small but growing 'collection'. I will get some better pics once it is out of its hidey-hole! That's why I am here!
If anyone has any good guides, tutorials, etc. on how to give things a once over before starting to back up for the first time in a long while, it would be much appreciated. Most of my automotive experience has been on 1998-2008 Audis, and German cars are a little quirky.. So for something simple like a SBC I am a little lost on where to begin.. There is not OBD port to scan for codes/data log LOL!
