Howdy Ya'll,
I am the new owner of a 1979 K10 SWB. I am the SECOND owner of this vehicle! I have been working on closing the deal for about a week and finally got the vehicle and title in my hands tonight so I feel safe talking about it now!
I am a long time car fan, have had many different cars since before I begin driving. My first car was a 1934 Chevy 4dr Master Sedan, long gone and that was when I was 9 years old in 1956. I have owned F**ds but Chevys are my main choice. I have a 1957 Belair Sport Sedan and drive it a lot, love it!
I have been looking for a 56-59 or 64-66 SWB but hadn't found anything that I liked for the right money. This 79 appeared a few weeks ago and I was able to do some swapping for it so I am happy.
The truck drives good, the 350/350 is strong and most of the stuff like brakes, bearings, plugs, plug wires and etc have all been replaced recently. Not sure exactly what I will end up doing to the truck but the first thing is go through the suspension and other items to make it a safe comfortable driver. After that I will start working on interior/paint or may do a frame off restoration.
