I'm Dan from northern BC, Canada.
Great site guys! Lots of awesome trucks on here to give me ideas on my current project.
I was lucky to enough to get this 1981 C10 from my dad when I was 16. Had it through highschool and then had to park it in my early 20's. It's been sitting collecting dust for 20 years but I'm finally in a position to get her back on the road.
It's mostly stock besides the motor which is a 66 327 out of an impala. 327 is a common build to the era with 11:1 pistons, 2.02 heads, etc but she's a bit tired. Recently switched her to HEI along with putting a Edelbrock AV2 650 carb on and it's running a lot better.
My plan is to take the truck to the next level across the board. Not being that much of a mechanic I plan to learn engines on the 327 then upgrade to something bigger when I get some skills.
