Hi all: I'm trying to get the bulkhead (if I've got the right word) in my engine compartment cleaned up, so I can prime and paint it. It's an 89 crew cab. I can't figure out how to remove the main bunch of wires, that go to the headlights and so on, which are in my way. It looks like I should just be able to unplug them from the point where they go through, into the cab, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the connection apart.

Anyone got some pics you'd be able to share, of how to do this? I don't want to tear anything up.

Bolt right in the center, pull the halves apart :)

It's 5/16 or 1/4, can't remember.

Will check this out, and get a picture or two posted, when I get home from work today.

That was it. Everything was so crudded up, I couldn't see immediately see that there was a bolt in there, and I got sidetracked by all the little clips that hold the various wires onto the main housing.

I knew it was going to be something really obvious, so feel free to rub it in. :)
