How necessary is a door alignment tool?

Definitely want one? Or can get by just fine without one?

I don't wanna shut my new doors and have them not want to open again lol.

I've never needed one. I would tape up the door edges and do it to it.I've done a few doors but if I did them on a regular basis I don't know if it would be better with a tool or not.Of course I've always done everything the hard way I guess.
