Ok. so it has been about 20 years since I have bought me a truck. My '93 mini square has been my daily driver since 1994 when I bought it. That being said my son wants it when he turns 16 in a little while and I will need me another DD.

While on lunch today I spotted a '87 silverado and gave him a call when I got back to work. It's an all orginal 2wd SWB with a TBI 305 in it. It has PW ,PL & AC and everything works. The white paint looks really good and it is showing 56,000 miles. The owner said that he couldn't prove that the mileage is orginal but considering the way it drove and how clean the truck is he thought might be.

I have been out of the truck market for years and thought I might get some help figuring out what it is worth.

I am going to get a closer look at it when i get off of work.

These "what's it worth" threads aren't valid unless you get input from people that live in your area. I see rusted-out trucks on here that guys in the northeast think are worth a few thousand dollars, but those same trucks wouldn't bring more than a few hundred in areas that don't have rust issues.

And some pics of exterior, interior and engine compartment. You're 'In Perfect Condition" could be a hunk of **** to most of us, and I've also seen, "Rough Shape" look better than anything I own, so pics go a long way too.

All the pics. I have. Interior is blue and in good shape, although someone hacked up the dash trying to put in a radio.

Paint is about 5 years old and still looks pretty good definitely not show quality, but good driver.

Under the hood hasn't been cleaned in a while but all the wiring is stock and not been hacked up.

Didn't see any signs of rust and it has a new set of tires.

What do they have it priced at? Just from those two pictures I'd say 4k wouldn't be out of ordinary. The 305 knocks a little off imo....

I'm thinking $3200ish in OKC area as a starting ask price. And yes, someone is going to talk you down cuz of the Wee O Five, and a few cosmetics, so a real sale might be for $2800 or so. But, that's just OKC. I see the prices in other parts of the country and I'm floored. If I could get a days drive North East of OKC with my trucks and parts, I'd prolly have a small fortune. But keep in mind, I drive across a little city of Moore at just about any time of daylight hours, and I'll see 5 squares at the minimum.

He is asking 6K, I thought it was a little high, but you just don't see many in that kinda of shape around this area very much, and to be honest I haven't been pricing any. Just seen that and it caught my eye. So I thought I would get some input from here.

I do think that is a little high. I would have to look it over real good before I would consider paying that much. If its really nice I might go 4500-5k if there's documentation proving the mileage is correct. I don't think 4.5-5k is an unreasonable price for an all original low mileage truck in this area.

A rust free square is hard to find.
I got a deal and a half on mine and have been offered $10k and I turned it down.
It's all in what you want to pay.

All depends on the area and condition if the rest of the truck

If it's as clean on the inside as it looks to be on the outside and runs well I'd tend to agree.
