Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place for this post but I finally got around to unbolting my bed but still have to lift it off. I'm hoping to get something back out of it but I have no idea what to ask. The floor is way shot the salt got to it and I lost about half the floor in rust chunks and dust cutting the bolts off. The sides aren't flawless but they don't have any holes besides the driver side post in the back. Anyone know what I could get out of it? I was hoping to get somewhere around 400-500 but I'm not sure if that's unreasonable, I'm in the South East PA area. Also anyone have tips for lifting these off the frame?

the bed sides are about $1,100 (not including shipping if you have to pay it). If there's nothing more than surface rust and/or nothing major (no dents), I'd put the sides close to that price.

Looking at truck beds on marketplace around me, I found about a half dozen that ranged from $250-$600, depending on condition, gate or no gate. I found one that was higher than that, but it had been for sale for 17 weeks.
I suppose some of it depends on how quickly you want to sell. Someone interested in your bed will either have no bed or be willing to cut the panels out and smooth out the dings and dents.

Up here in PA that kimda price on a "DECENT" bed is unheard of!!

I picked up a rust free bed with one bedside dented pretty good near the rear. $100 a few years ago lol. I would say $500 or below in my area.

I promise it's not salvageable all the rails are shot thin metal all over holes all over the floor and I went in with the mindset it was too far gone so I ruined alot of the floor's bolt holes it does have a tailgate with it but it has a big dent in the middle from someone dropping a motor on it

Ask $300, probably expect less. Again, that's in my area. I would pay $200 most likely, I'd have to look at it in person, but probably wouldn't do $300.

I guess we are fortunate in the PNW. You can routinely get a straight, rust-free lwb for $3-400. I got mine about 4 yrs ago for $175.

Wouldn't hurt to put some lumber between the cab & bed when lifting in case it gets away from you.
I see a lot of welding and replacing of rotted sections of the rear cross-brace and floor. If the rest of the under side is as rough, the value drops significantly.
