That I'm unsure of, I've never actually seen an Ascender, although I have seen the others, and have a buddy with a lifted SS and a low range case swapped in lol.

Yes they did. And that's bad ass with the SS I'd love to see a pic of that.

I believe he has a 60 sitting around, mine just had a read Detroit and I was never thrawted due to lack of traction, he's got a Detroit and Powertrax up front, so it's pretty capable.

Yes, the LS4 5.3s were FWD only, had no provisions for mounting in a RWD car. I went to my local pull-a-part (Knoxville Tn) and found 4 5.3s. Two in Silverado's, one in a Tahoe, and one in an Isuzu Ascender (this is the aluminum 5.3 with 799 heads, the good ones) and I can get the entire engine with accessories for $179 plus a $35 core charge :)

lol the hell dude..love to come visit you and get that deal. I'm 30 miles across the line north. For that matter, you might be the guy I've been yappin with occasionally in text for over a year and never met (craigslist).

Didn't the is Isuzu Ascender get the 5.3 as well?
Yes, one of the vehicles in my local pull-a-part that has a 5.3 is an Ascender. $200 plus tax, and that's with all the accessories.

Yes, the Ascender was built on the GMT360 platform with the others.

Yep, and alot cheaper than an Envoy or Trailblazer too.

I'm aware of that, I'm unsure if they got the 5.3, the Trailblazers didn't until 04, which is why the Olds never got them, because Olds died before the 5.3 was put in.

Ah, yes they did get the 5.3 in them, like the Trailblazers (until '06) it probably was in the 7 passenger version. The '03-04 models had the LM4 Aluminum 5.3 and the '05-'07 models got the LH6 aluminum 5.3 with DoD (that's what is in my Denali)

I had the LH6 also, not a bad engine. With 33's and 4.56's it did well on the trails.
