USED Wiper Blades

While on the subject of wipers here. I got kinda a wierd tid bit. So at the part time place, they have a Ford Ranger. The wipers have needed replaced since last winter. I mean they are horrible. You can't see **** when it rains, they just smear the water and don't wipe.

On my 84 C20, there is crack in the windshield and it has sliced my wipers so they don't wipe at all and I just don't drive it in the rain it's so bad. I just figured I'd eventually put Rain X on it and call it good., but I'm not wasting money on new wipers to get sliced by this crack in the windshield.

So the other night it was raining and I was driving the Ford Ranger. Pulled into O'Ry's and got some new wiper blades, and fugg it, not my money, so I got the cheap blades and arms, $5.99 each I think it was. Put them on there and damn, they work good. Didn't expect them to since they were the cheapies, but this place won't spend no damn money and I knew better than to get good stuff.

Then I thought, I'll save these Ford Take Offs for my 84 C20, they are much better, at least they are something and not cut up, they just don't wipe for ****. I put them on my 84 C20 and had to drive it home that night in the rain. Not expecting those wipers to work good, dayummm, I swear they work like brand new. Just as good as the new ones I put on the Ranger.
Only thing I can think of, is the different pitch in the glass, the blade is now using a different part of the rubber blade and riding on a whole new surface now. Kinda like rotating your tires I guess. But yeah, those old ass worn out sumbishes work as good as the brand new ones I just bought for the Ranger. So remember that guys. If you're wipers are getting nasty, and you have 2 different model vehicles with the same length blade, just swap them back and forth, and they might work like new on the different vehicle. Oh, and these haven't got cut yet either. They're hanging in there pretty good. It rained again today too.

I've heard that about cat litter too. And you should always have newspaper with you incase you get stuck somewhere. This way, you have something to wipe your ass with if you have to take **** while waiting on help.

You can use just about anything and it often works. Just make sure it's something you can afford to lose. My buddy lost a floormat and a boot once because they went shooting into a farm field.
