Howdy,

I've seen horn upgrades at autozone and am curious if they are any better/louder than the stock horn? Just looking for something a bit louder than what I have. Thanks!

My truck will have ARBs with compressor and tank (parts on my shelf!) and therefore....
absolutely will have train horns.
Tons of plans online and youtoob.

In the 70's I installed an old 6volt truck horn in my dad's '73 square body. The 12 volts just made that old horn rattle!
Distorted terrible sound actually was funny as hell AND loud.
But not even near train horn loud... hehe.

Well, I don't want train horn loud. I've seen a dual tone horn at AZ. I might try that.

To just went to the junk yard and picked up a couple late model
GM horns. Wire them to your existing horn wires. They sound real good. Simple and cheap.

Im going to replace mine soon and wanted something like train horns. Big ol' American steel coming through. And plus, I think we have the engine bay room to fit such a set up!

I'm sorry I thought maybe you'd have a horn and compressor you recommend
No problem Drew.
I have an ARB High Output but as of yet I have no idea how many PSI it will load in a tank. The more the better! More pressure = more loud!
Of course I'll have a normal horn as well. Train horn reserved for dipshits only.

Well I hope that compressor has a good duty cycle because with the amount of dipshits out there today it's gonna need it....
