Hood Support Bolts/Posts

Are the rear support bolts/posts for the hood supposed to have a rubber pad on them? I mean these bolts:

Mine don't have any rubber pad on them. I would think they should have something to keep them from rubbing the backside of the hood and taking the paint off. I cannot seem to locate them in any of the typical part catalogs (LMC, etc).

Mine never had them (any rubber pad).
They fit into a slot on the hood and I believe they are there to prevent the hood from being shoved thru the windshield in a collision.

OK, got it. So these aren't supports. These are the alternate version of the one that used to be in the center of hood. I believe there was another thread covering this subject.
