Hi all, just signed up as a new member , .... rebuilding an 80 GMC 1/2 4x4 , need fender help

Frame & drivetrain all pretty much done, now I'm approaching all the body work.
Mounted the bare cab on new mounts from LMC, mounted the front rad cradle on it's new mounts, installed the doors, and now the fender... herein lies the issue.
The top gap of door-to-fender is tight, yet the bottom gap is like 3/8"...so: a) lower the cradle, but that bugger ups the hood fitting later. b) lower the back of the cab, but those mounts are tightened, and the steel insert of the rubber mounts have bottomed out and the upper half of the rear cab mount is compressed to 2 7/8", similar to another truck of it's age that i measured... so c): do i then shim up the front cab mounts to get my alignment?

Thanks for the 'welcome', and for the comment regarding the door, but the door is gapped perfect & the mid-body crease lines right up, so moving the door is not an option.
Is there a pec on the rear cab mount depression dimension?

i would check the frame , measure across from left to right ,right to left, then make very sure each mount is the correct height, my 1981 c10 has a bad/missing washer on the drivers side under the core support, causing miss alignment. of fender, door ,hood level at front corner is 3/16th to 1/4 inch to low,

Howdy!

It's common to have to shim the cab so everything lines up well. There's even shims for such a purpose, but I don't know of a source for new ones.
