Child of the 80’s here. Grew up with Chevy. Dad bought his first suburban in 1977, either blue/blue or red over silver, can’t recall exactly, but since then he had a new One every two years or so. There have been quite a few pass through the family. Bought my first full size truck in 97, an 85 K5 blazer that I paid $3200 for and drove for about 8 years and sold to a friend for $3500.00. Should’ve never sold it. That brings me to today, I’m jumping back in. Just picked up what was sold to me as a 1981 k10 long bed trailering special. Intent is to bring it back to its glory over the next few years and pass it along to my 7 year old when he is mature enough to drive it. Should be a fun project. First on the list, suspension lift wheels and tires… it’s gonna look a whole lot different in the next year or so. I look forward to conversing with the group, and maybe find some advice and parts!!
