While researching leaf springs, I found a lot of bad information on various forums. Also learned that the 52" 3/1 springs (3 leafs + 1 overload) are probably the most common on short bed C10 trucks. The USA-made Dayton P/N is 22525, and imported copies are typically 22-525. If you never haul anything more than 1,000 lbs or so (load + driver + passengers), these will work just fine and give you a relatively smooth ride.

I haven't bought anything from these guys, but here's some good info. Click on "Order/View" for more details on a specific spring.

Also, go here to find factory specs on suspension, engines, transmissions, axle ratios, etc. for a bunch of GM cars and trucks:

Thanks, Mike. I hope this gets moved to the "Library/archive" as a tech resource.

Just last night I was trying to order new rear spring/shackle bushings, and had no info on the eye sizes, although I think I read a post by you about the two different size springs.

Finding any information about any part anybody sells anywhere online, seems to be impossible these days. Basic info like length, height, bolt hole sizes, general size within x10? It's like Stonehenge all the time.

if you maybe more than occasionally need the weight capacity or just want to protect the setup, you could get a assist spring set or something Ive seen is a shock absorber type deal that looks like it helps with maybe shocks on a loaded leaf set causing them to break or maybe bend (I assume it dampens the flattening??? but they got overloads and various stuffs that can be add-on only and not be a constant ride issue
