So I’m going to part out my long wheel base, after I rob it for parts. Three of the bolts in the bed are stuck and will need to be cut. The problem is I don’t have any tools to do it. I’m willing to give someone a great deal on the bed if they come cut the bolts themselves. I’m even considering throwing in the tailgate. What do you guys think I should price the bed at or should I just give it away? I’ve included pics of the bed.

How come deals like that are always so far away from me?! Id personally be comfy paying up to about $500 for a bed in that condition.

Agreed, that bed is in good shape. A careful hand with a grinding wheel or flappy disc can have those carriage heads off in no time.

You can pick up a cheap 4 1/2" grinder at Harbor Freight for about $10. I have a few of them and they are OK for ocasional use.

It does look like a pretty good bed, like others have said, too bad I'm so far away.:(

it would be simple to drill a 1/4" hole down the center of the carriage bolts and then follow up with a uni bit till the heads come off

Cut off the nut from the bottom and you won't hurt the bed at all.

I'm also in the same situation where I was trying to sell a long bed in great condition with a cross rail tool box and couldn't get anybody to buy it. Several people up north said in great shape they're easily over $1000. Just not too many people in the south need them. I've thought about taking it up north and selling it and just using the money made to fund my trip.

But $400-$500 with a tailgate is not an unreasonable price.

If I remember correctly, we were unable to get to these from the bottom. I don’t have a tool now anyway. I listed it here and on fb for $300 obo with the option of getting the tailgate as well for $300
