Hey guys I like the look of the late model (88-91) squares and am currently trying to find all the wood grain trim that came in those years. I found a dash insert and bezel I was wondering if anyone knows of GM making the door panel trim inserts in the same style as the bezel and dash insert. I know they make them for the suburbans but I'm looking for a full size insert for my truck, the suburban ones are alot shorter. Pic for reference on the trim I'm talking about.

They never made any but the short ones for the doors. They extended the padded area up and that’s why the trim is shorter.

I don't recall the trim being available for the C/Ks in the early 80s (I could be wrong) but the R/V (88-91) had it for sure. That might help.

Like Itali said, they never made the full length versions in woodgrain, only the shorty ones for the later panels. You could probably find some burlwood wrap to wrap yours with that would be close

Thanks guys I kinda figured it only came in the suburbans, was hoping gm made burlwood an option for the 88-91 crew cabs.

Just a minor correction, the woodgrain didn't appear until '89. The '88 Suburbans were basically carryover '87 models.

Perhaps you could swap in the whole door panels from the suburban instead of searching for the bigger inserts...

I'd do that but the suburban door panels have the bigger power window switches because of the rear doors. I guess I could plug the holes but I don't know if I'm that worried about matching the doors. If I run into a cheap set I might give it a try

The door panels themselves are the same as the others. It's only the cloth pad and trim applique that is different.
