Hello everyone,
I’m Oldsman, and I’ve been a proud owner of a 1981 Chevrolet Scottsdale short bed half ton four-wheel drive since 1986. It’s been parked under a shelter since 2012, and unfortunately, it hadn’t been driven much in the years leading up to that, as it had so many miles on it that it was oil fouling 3 cylinders frequently, over time the ethanol gas took its toll on the carburetor, leaving it ruined.
I bought a wrecked low mileage (32k) 1994 Buick Roadmaster with an iron head LT1 engine that I had intentions of swapping into my truck, but life got in the way, and I haven’t touched either vehicle in years. Now, at 61, I have too many projects on my plate and not enough time, so I’m looking for the simplest way to get my beloved Scottsdale back on the road.
I’d love to hear any advice or tips from fellow square body enthusiasts on how to approach this. Thank you all for your help!
