New to the forum from western PA. Back in late 79 I ordered a new Scottsdale K20 plain Jane truck. Got it in January of 1980. Put a lift kit, monster mudders and a sunroof on it. A couple years later I was building a house and needed money so I sold it. Fast forward 40 years and a friend tells me his cousin has my old truck.
It was sitting in a field, hadn't run in a long time, bed was gone and pretty rusted. Well I ended up dragging it home. Planned if I could get it running I might restore it.
For the last week I've been spraying the cylinders with acetone/ATF/Marvel History oil. Haven't had any luck getting the engine freed up.
Joined the forum for information and so far it looks like I may end up parting it out.

Crazy! And it’s still kinda in one piece! That’s cool.
Original pic looks like you started driving it like The Fall Guy pretty early on!
How big a jump did it take to do that to a new truck?

I am amazed that after 40 years that sunroof doesn't leak. I figured the inside of the cab would be a swamp but even after power washing the outside it's dry inside.

There still is enough truck there to put it back on the road. 350s are a dime a dozen. Don't let the seized engine stop you. You can get small block engine parts anywhere. I think even from the grocery store, "I want a gallon of milk, a dozen eggs and a small block Chevy intake manifold please.":)
