It may be a picture of one lol I screenshot it off my Facebook but honestly I can’t remember if it’s not a picture of a picture it’s a picture of one scanned to a computer lol but I know my grandma took it and her digital camera is old anyways haha that picture does have a nice retro feel though lol

Welcome from SC. That truck does look good. No way I would have ever thought to send that thing to the scrap yard. If needed just cut out the rust and weld in some new metal, get creative if you aren't restoring it or want to do it perfect. If it's the bed as long as your crap doesn't fall through your good.

Honestly the reason my dad and uncle(PO before me) want to is the frame has cracked at the driver shock mount in the rear and dad plated it and is afraid I’m gonna sink a bunch of money into the body just to have the frame go. Of course when I fix it it’ll never go out in the salt again. I have found some aftermarket shock mounts that are supposed to relieve stress on the frame. For 40 bucks I may try it and see.

Shocks don't put stress on the frame like the spring mounts or other spots. You don't even need shocks they just make your ride safer and more comfortable. Haha
I'd either use the ones your talking about or just reweld the frame. Sounds like it may be just a fluke

I hope its good but my dad is still concerned so I guess I’ll call around and start asking question and the works lol ya the salt here kills so many good trucks. This ones had a few welds done to it but dad welded back a couple years ago and placed one big plate and filled the cracks in. At 40 bucks I figure I can try and see if it’ll help if not I’m not out much lol and I’m gonna slowly work on this thing I’m just waiting on winter to end so I can bring it to my house.
