Its been about 6 or 7 years ago now. OK even dropped the safety inspection sticker, which was brakes, lights, horn, windshiled cracks in line of site etc. It cost $5 a year for the sticker and inspection. They don't even do it now saying it was a waste that now cars are safer anyway, and people know it is expected, so they test all that themselves before taking it in for inspection so basically noone failed. But, they do expect cops to write more fix it tickets now and they do. A fix it ticket doesn't cost anything unless you don't get the item repaired in 30 days. Then if a cop pulls you over for the same thing and it was not repaired, then its a ticket. We also do not have any emmisions inspections here. Nothhing of the sort. Show your proof on insurance and you get a tag. Although, I would not be suprised if someday they don't start emission testing. At least residents of some counties.
Actually there is talk about some superstorm that only happens about 150 years, and whe it happens it is supposed to take out San Fransico.. so mabey CA is falling in after all???
