hello everyone, im a newbie to the forum from iowa.
ive had multiple square body trucks threw out the years. Mostly ones I pulled from farmers groves that had been used and abused. I salvaged what I could off of them and made a few decent driveable ones, the last one i acquired is currently my father's its a 1979 3/4 ton with a snow plow.

I just recently acquired a 90% original 1977 K10, I say 90% because the transmission pan is one ive never seen on a stock tranny. I am the 3rd owner of this truck and id like to keep it as much original and oem as possible. That being said, im looking for help on a speedometer issue right now. The PO said the speedometer hasn't worked in years, since he only use it to drive to the top of the hill and get walnuts he never bothered to fix it.

Howdy! I'm in Iowa currently, but actually live in Ohio. It's basically the same, just a different name, lol.

So what's the trans pan look like? I don't know what the numbers decode to on the ratio box, but you can run without it and your speedo might not be very far off. Or at all, if the tires are a different size from stock.
