New square body owner. I just picked up a great rust free 1986 Silverado stepside. I’m going to build it with my son and make some memories.
I do need some help decoding the partial vin# stamped into the block. It’s a 3970010 cast 350.
Suffix code is TKB so pretty sure it’s a 1976 LS9
I just can’t find where to decode the partial vin# T7S512747.

I believe T7S would say that it came out of a 1977 GMC made in St Louis.
The last 6 numbers are unique to the vehical it came from.

I have a 1986 GMC. It Also has the same engine number on the block. According to the what I found on the internet it goes like this.
1968 thur 1979, 350 or 327 cu.in.
145/375 hp. 2 or 4 bolt main.
Truck or hi pregormance.
I hope that helps.
That a lot of variables but it's a start.
My truck had 305 originally and changed at some point.
