Hey, recently picked up a 1985 GMC Sierra 4wd for 400.00, and joined the forum for information and help along the way. The truck has sat untouched for 8 years, I have it running smoothly and idling, beginning the replacement of several failed brake lines, look forward to learning and getting the old truck on the road!

I think I did alright on it! Took the fuel line off at the carb and cranked the engine pushing out the old fuel, put fresh fuel in the tank and it fired right up! Manual transmission, seems like a great truck if I can grow some patience! thanks!

Thanks for the all the welcomes! Just took the truck to the back 40 and hauled out a bit of firewood. Pretty impressed the old truck goes as well as it does. Last 4wd drive I had was a jeep Rubicon (2005) 8” lift/ Super Swamper 35” Boggers, and that left with my last wife . Miss that jeep. As wet as it is the truck done great. Makes me even more excited moving forward!
