Has anyone done a heated bench seat conversion. I have been searching hoping to find a thread showing the installation. Has anyone done this?

We love our old Chevrolet trucks for their simplicity and their ambience and originality. Why need heated seats? JMO

A friend gave me a thing you put on your seat that does heat and massage. I never used it because my bad back doesn't benefit from vibration but second thought the heat part would be nice when it's ice cold outside.

Most heated seats I've sat in just try to heat up your ass for the most part. It's akward. But a friend of mine bought some late model BMW coupe and I absolutely LOVE the heated seats in that thing. They heat the whole seating surface very well and there's good heat all the way up to your shoulder blade area. I can literally leave that seat heater turned on all day because it makes my back feel so much better.

I like the old style but want new creature comforts, plus my wife likes heated seats so if I’m putting it in one location it’s going in all of them.

There are numerous aftermarket seat heaters

All are for bucket seats but Could be used on a bench

They just go under the seat cover

I’d get the ones with a separate control for the bottom and back

I like the heat on my back but not so much on my butt

Dorman makes kits available at Jets. Go under the seat covers. Good luck.

I agree that it’s lame if it’s just bottom being heated. I also agree, though, that heated seats are nice when your spine hurts. When I used to come down with febrile chills while driving, I’d crank that puppy on wide open. Luckily that doesn’t happen to me anymore because my ‘new’ 33 year old car doesn’t have heated seats. That velour doesn’t get anywhere as cold as vinyl, though. The kit that LMC sold had a bench seat in the picture, but I don’t even know if they sell that anymore.
