headlights not working

on my 85 my head lights are not working they have no power

checked fuses all are good i can put a jumper wire to the hot wire at the switch and they work perfect

i am thinking its the dimmer switch

is there a fuseable link or something for the headlights

Yeah there is. It could be at the starter but my 86 is on the firewall, at the tap.

Did it work. I have the same issue on my 85. Parking, tail and brake lights all work but no headlights.
