Hello,

Anyone have experience with headers or manifolds for 86 K10 350 with Vortec heads?

I’d prefer manifolds over headers. Not looking for high performance.

Have scoured internet but can’t find a straight answer.

Oh great, do you have a link or part number? Any fit issues?

The 8525hkr? Read on a forum they have interference, but other says they work. Do you know?

You said you preferred manifolds. Holley/Hooker offers some decent manifolds. I believe it's always @SquareRoot that is pitching them to people.

me personally I would run headers if I could only manifolds I like are the ram horns but if I had to run the long manifolds I would not use factory or off the shelf I would go here go to exhaust pick manifolds and pick small block chevy https://www.holley.com/products/exhaust/headers_and_exhaust_manifolds/ they have regular manifolds and ram horns

I have headers on our daily burb 1999 vortec 350. the ones I got are stainless steel and were cheap. They look good and have a thick flange. I battled loose bolts for a good while and ended up getting stainless hardware to cure it and its been fine the last 3+ years. I have had headers on everything and not had this problem so my only recommendation is get good name brand steel headers.

I have had good luck with the cheapy ebays the headers them selfs were great the gaskets could have been better but they did not leak the hardware that they give you is not great at all but I had no problems with it only dlet with 2 pair first pair was meant for a 88-95 tbi but used on a vortec the second set went on a bmw 325 I do not know how they are doing because I no longer hangout with the owner

I have plans to get a set for a project that I have on the back burner a 95 ram 2500 regular cab short bet with a 5 speed going to be real fun once that v6 is out and a v8 goes in going to see how long a nv3500 lasts behind a 360 should be fine gm 350s in front of them and do not hear any thing about them breaking unless you are trying to

Looks factory. Vortec heads and spreadbore intake with stock exhaust manifolds.

I took my headers off and replaced them with manifolds. Next I will be getting some factory "short" headers that will give the toque, and fit on the stock pipes.
