I have an 86 k10 Scottsdale short bed. I'm the original owner and am in the process of restoring it. It is in the restoration shop and I'm looking for some advice on some parts.
The truck has 9'' of lift i just replaced all the old rancho lift kit with new 6'' skyjacker easy ride springs. it also has a 3'' body lift, a worked over 350, and 3/4 ton axles, i installed ORD. shackles with greaseable pins and Kevlar bushings.
The headers need replacing they are from the 80's
Here is the first question does anyone know of headers that will clear the front shackles on the passenger side front spring. the new ORD shackles are much thicker than the stock ones and the bolt hits the header where the exhaust pipe and header flange connect. i had to grind down the old flange on the old headers to make clearance but would prefer to not do that on a new set of headers. and i would prefer long tube.
Thank you.

I used these on my 85 K 10. I bought the ceramic coated ones. I'll post a picture of mine later today.

Here are the pics. I don't have the bars running from the tranny bell housing to the motor mounts. Not sure how they fit if you have those.

are the shackles ORD? they look the same as mine.
My old headers hit that bolt on the passenger's side.
i don't know if lift height makes a difference i have 6'' springs in the front. but it was really the heavy-duty shackles that caused the contact. it was close with the factory shackles but it cleared.
Thanks for the pics.
If anyone else has any pics or header suggestions id love to see it.

If it’s not already, turn the shackle bolt so that the bolt head is towards the header and the thread/nut are on the outside.

I’ve run Hedman’s forever on small and big blocks and while they can be close to the header I’ve never had an actual interference problem.

I cannot turn the bolt around these are ORD greaseable shackles. the grease fitting sticks out even farther. i have ground down the threads flush with the nut and it still hits the flange. ORD warns of this with his kit. i was hoping someone may have come across the same problem and had a solution. if the collectors where an inch longer it would clear.
