Hi Everyone,

I'm going to fix the driver-side lean on my R20 and get the load height back up. I've got a choice of either the normal springs or the Hd springs:

Is there an option code that I should be aware of that might say what the R20 has on it right now? It's 4:10 rear gear option, so it may have HD on it if they were ever a factory option.

Thanks for any input.

The RPO code should be G50 HD or G51 extra capacity
Info From a website so verify elsewhere.

Okay, thanks for the input. I went diggin, found option

YD6 : REAR SPRING, BASE EQUIPMENT

So if I go HD, then it won't be stock... but according to the websites, the HD springs have the same leaf count as the normal ones. I'll do a little more double checking, might go HD anyway, it's going to be asked to tow.

I remember seeing two options for my 3/4 burb, and it was actually different leaf count. But it might have been something different.

edit:
For 91 3/4 suburban it shows 5 and 7 leaf packs, but the 5 one is probably for a 1/2 ton

Right - I'm seeing the reduced leaf count option too - I'm thinking that's for a 1/2 ton as well.

Thanks for the link, great resource. I had run across it before, totally slipped my mind it was there. I'll get the HD springs on it and put her to work.
