On my freshly rebuild 355. it takes a bit of turning over to start. it kind starts to fire slowly but when it gets goin to runs like a bear.

Its got Edlebrock 600 cfm. it is timed to 8 deg.

i was running it all day trying to get rid of my lil exhaust leaks with my new system and thats when i noticed it.

Turns over like for 2 to 3 sec then starts to fire.

Im kinda thinking the carb is out of tune but im not sure.

Mine is acting the same way, same carb, but I thought it was a timing issue and was gonna cut mine back a little. But if yours is at 8 and doing this, it sounds like it wont help me cutting my timing back. Could be a heat sink issue. I have to hold mine to the floor when starting it after it's warmed up otherwise it will crank and crank till the battery is dead. If you find out what the problem is let me know!
