I believe the GVW is coded in the VIN.

I have an '82 VIN card handy and the GVW/Brake system is coded in the VIN.

This is the only thing I can find on the vehicle.

This and what you said before makes it a 8600gvw truck. Proof? Likely none of us know the NZ requirements so kinda on your own there.
