So I've been chasing my tail for the last couple of years on my hydro brakes. The hydroboost leaks pretty good, but that's not the end of the world.
What I'm confused about is why I keep getting gunk in the master cylinder. I replaced it maybe 2.5 years ago and within 6 months it looked older than the truck. All rusty. I have flushed the brake fluid with new Valvoline synthetic Dot 3 & 4 fluid several times, but it just keeps coming back. All stringy and dark in the bottom.
The brakes are almost universally squishy, not terribly so but its always there, no matter how much I bleed/flush it.
Any ideas? The hoses were all replaced with stainless hoses and the rear wheel cylinders were replaced too. WTF is going on here?
