I've never posted on the official welcome wagon page, so here goes...

I currently own a mostly original K10 Silverado shortbox, and have for about 20 years. I bought it in my early 20's, so that makes me pretty old. Other Squarebodies I've owned are a 1975 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd that I grew up with, and a 1976 stepside 4x4 with a 250, 4 speed, and snowplow. I'm planning on keeping my current truck until I kick the bucket, and have succeeded so far. Here are a few pictures of the truck in everyday life; one with a cameo of the old 1975:

Dual-gassing at the station is the ultimate squarebody picture. You are already a master.

I bet your glad you kept it all these years, nice one.

So, what did this truck cost back then? I'll guess around $7500...?

In '79 I priced out new K10 Silverado fully loaded was 10,000 in Canada

Welcome from Wyoming. That’s a sweet square you have there. Love the pic filling up both tanks. I’ll have to try that next time.

Probably a whole lot easier to do that than to set down the nozzle and attempt to turn around before some ass-wipe pulls up in your spot. It's nice having dual tanks, but filling both of them at one stop is challenging nowadays due to impatient ass-wipes. Having them on separate sides, however, is great for in-town filling, because you can pull up to any pump that is ready and not have to worry which side the filler is on.

Yep. Definitely glad I've still got the old girl. I paid $8970 with no sales tax (I lived in Montana then) for it in December, 2000. It had something like 51,000 miles on it then.
