This is the original GM emblem. Is there a paint to match the gold in the emblem, or just leave it like it is? I painted the black outline with Rustoleum paint.

I believe it will be the same as the Chevy, Argent Silver, I might be mistaken.
Apparently GMC grills are not Argent... I'm trying to find out what the color is also. Supposedly it is a more flat color, not metallic.

How difficult is it to "restore"/repaint a grill? I have original and wondering if i should try to paint or replace....aftermarkets any good?
If your original is in great shape then of course restore it.. it will be better quality than a repop. If it’s brittle and cracked/broken ? There are some good reproduction pieces. I’ve restored a few grilles with excellent results.
Here’s an ‘84 GMC restored

I had been looking all over for Argent Silver locally to test on an old grill, when a can of this stuff literally fell out of my paint cabinet today, forgot I had it left over from painting a set of my aircraft floats. Really excellent match for Argent Silver.

I like the aluminum match..my grille is a different aluminum color AND THEN I found argent silver ... decided not to repaint it. Looks great!

What kind of AK do you have Randy? I've got an M70.
