Yep picked up a squarebody s-10 today/ I traded my fourwheeler for it. It's got air bags all around, rear leafs are removed and have a 4 bar setup with bags, front has bags, has shaved door handles, and body is pretty solid from what I've seen, same for the frame.

It's got a 4.3 tbi, around 154.*** on it. Has a/c and is auto.

a few pics I got from the guys ad selling it..

now for the bad, it has a roll pan but doesn't line up it's too far forward and looks thrown on, ps window falls off track, well rolls down and angles then comes off track.

no popper/solenoid on the ps. ds is mounted in the bed the button. and the ds solenoid won't unlatch the door, think they hooked the cable wrong.

manual bag setup no compressor, and one goes low often. plus it's cheap dollar a can spray paint.

Lol so a $700 rig. Still not bad. A compressor for the bags won't set you back too much. I wouldn't worry about the roll pan, and the little window wheels that fit in the track are super cheap. I'd say you came out all right if you don't have to flintstone it down the street.

no she runs and drives, no noises or smoke.

yea I was wondering if it was just a wheel or something for the window glass. I think I need to find a new driver door latch and then redo the solenoid to pull it right and make it work. of course I need a solenoid for the ps door, and I really don't want the button out in the open for anyone to hit.

you aint kiddin on the wheels they got reverse offset 10's on it so they stick way out. I have to change it, and it's got cragar ss's on the back with the tri bar knock off centers, front is keystone klassics, both require special washers since they are unilug, and none are on it and I mean no washers. Then the guy said he wondered why the wheels shake LOL.

The first things on my list are to fix the ds door solenoid so it works, or I should say most likely buy a kit with remotes because I don't want anyone to walk up and open my doors anywhere.

fix the ps window to say on track.

and the biggest, get tires and/or wheels to fit. I have a set of 14's they are american racing series 23, they fit s-10's but only one decent tire for them. So I either need 3-4 good 14 inch tires, or find some used 15s on s-10 wheels or buy wheels and get used tires or something.

Definately going to check out your thread kleedus I love seeing v8 swap threads, what did the parts set you back?

I put remote door poppers on a 85 chevy c10

I put a back up cable to pull the latch on it just incase. I ran it to the mirror it was hid under the trim piece. all I had to do was remove the screw that held the trim on. then pull the ring on the end of the cable and the door opened.

with no back up if your battery dies you are not getting in your truck

thanks kleedus great idea on that.

I was thinking the exact same, do the cable release because me and batteries don't mix lol. Not driving one alot kills them quickly. I was also wanting to do key fob setup so jo blo can't just walk up and get in my truck.

I was actually thinking on the cable back up if I had a way to lock the gas door on the bed, put it in there, but now I kinda wondered like taillight or something.

my other thought was in behind the grille or down under the body or something.
