I used to get stuck in the yard when I was a kid in my Chevette and c20. Have to jack it up and put boards under it. And both were open pipe, my neighbors loved me lol. Now almost everything is 4 wheel drive and I don't get stuck anymore, Just temporarily delayed.

Tires, throttle input, open diff, wet grass, uneven terrain. All of the issues lol

All terrains or highway tread with a really hard compound suck on wet grass. Even big heavy ass diesel trucks I've seen stuck in grass lol.

Sid, sounds like you need some weight, like a ton of hay in the back, very hard to get stuck, but when you do......

Should explain, JD tractor slipped into a small pond, wife's truck stuck, got the K20, not stuck, but could not pull her out. Rescued by my son Nick in his FORD!!!. Had to winch out.

You have no bed? How about adding some ballast, maybe bolt down a piece of concrete? I recall years ago a Nissan Navara where a guy bolted a concrete curb somewhere in the rear to have traction in the winter. Or another Navara guy who carried a layer of pavement concrete tiles in bed

Yep, weight and mud tires might work without changing the diff but I'd go ahead and start planning for a locker of some kind.

from ancient driver's ed;

slowly apply the parking brake

this is supposed to simulate traction on the spinner and cause the other wheel to get a little love from the open diff.

if the parking brake is adjusted correctly and evenly, you might get lucky.

so many pontiac grand prix, buick regal, olds cutlass (mid 80s) that i drove in/on muddy driveways.

good luck!
